Mission Statement

We remain steadfast in protecting those we serve through industry mastery, technical innovation, compassion and tenacity.

An independent risk evaluation and management firm, Secure Insight is the lending industry’s most robust, cost-efficient, and airtight defense against wire fraud and closing fraud, dramatically reducing the likelihood of losses from mortgage fraud. We screen, evaluate, verify, rate for risk, monitor, and report the following via our national database, 24/7/365, in real time:

  • Real estate attorney, escrow officer, title agent, and mobile notary identity and credibility
  • Wire and cyber fraud risk through bank account verification
  • Uninsured and underinsured closing agents
  • License status and disciplinary actions, including license revocations/suspensions
  • Civil and criminal litigation history and judgments
  • Internal office controls for data privacy, data security, and consumer protection

Lenders benefit from our singular, experienced focus on loss risk and from the high quality of our data. Closing agents benefit from our ongoing attention to their personal and professional profiles, and from the credibility that comes from being Secure Insight verified.

Committed to making the process hassle-free for our lender clients, Secure Insight is the next generation of data evaluation and monitoring, giving the mortgage industry the protection it’s legally entitled to – and deserves.

Core Values:

  1. Honesty, integrity and ethics matter more than any sale.
  1. Our clients are people like you who deserve to be treated with respect.
  1. Data privacy and security is the utmost concern of all of us, so take care with the information you receive.
  1. Transparency and accountability are good for all consumers but may create fear in those whom we evaluate for risk, and therefore we must always act in good faith and with fairness.
  1. We do not judge any person’s character we only rate them for risk of financial harm to banks and consumers based on factual data.
  1. Never trust public data 100%; always verify your sources and always convey derogatory information with those who are being evaluated so they have an opportunity to appeal and explain, if possible.
  1. Never argue with anyone, ever.  Be polite, professional and helpful in all cases.
  1. People fear change, we are bringing change.  Remember and be kind.
  1. We labor for the public good, which is in many instances a thankless and difficult task.  Stay the course, confident in our process and the end result.

Commitment to Ethics, Fairness and Data Privacy

Looking at potential losses in the trillions, it can be easy to forget the faces behind them. But we don’t. Secure Insight understands the impact that vendor management and risk assessment can have on the lives and careers of the lenders we protect. We’re similarly sensitive to the reputations and livelihoods of the closing agents we monitor, and are committed to treating everyone with dignity, respect, and fairness. We never report derogatory findings about any professional unless and until we notify them and launch an automatic appeal process – giving them the opportunity to see the results, correct inaccuracies, supplement with additional information, and otherwise assist us in “getting it right.” All of our staff are trained to treat people with courtesy, and every employee of Secure Insight has undergone the same scrutiny we apply to closing agents.

Finally, Secure Insight employs strict data privacy, data protection, and confidentiality policies to ensure that private information provided to us is handled in accordance with law, as we ourselves would want such information handled if it were our own. To verify this measure, we have submitted to and passed independent SSAE 16 certification, comply with IAPP and PCI DSS data privacy and security standards, and carry A-rated insurance coverage for our business, including cyber liability coverage.
